Editor (Post-Production)

Location: Pine City, Minnesota [in-office]
Industry: Firearms and Outdoor
Type: Full-time

We’re looking for an Editor who can take raw footage from the studio, the field, and live events and shape it into polished, on-brand deliverables. You’ll be the person who makes the story work in the edit — cutting for pace and emotion, color grading for a consistent look, mixing clean audio, and turning projects around on deadline across a wide range of brands and formats.

This is a role for someone who lives in the timeline, sweats the details, and can juggle multiple projects without letting anything slip.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be legally allowed to own and possess firearms
  • Must be able to work from our Pine City, MN office [not a remote role]
  • Edit long- and short-form video: brand films, product launches, social cutdowns, event recaps, and YouTube content
  • Color grade for a consistent, polished look across each brand
  • Mix and clean audio, including dialogue, music, and sound design
  • Build motion graphics, titles, and lower-thirds, and handle basic VFX cleanup
  • Repurpose hero content into platform-specific cuts (vertical, square, short-form)
  • Manage media: ingest, organize, back up, and archive project files following our workflow
  • Collaborate with shooters and the creative lead on direction, shot selection, and revisions
  • Manage your own queue and keep deliverables moving through our project tracking system
  • Incorporate client feedback cleanly and hit revision deadlines
  • 3+ years of professional editing experience (a strong reel matters more than years)
  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong color grading and audio mixing skills
  • A sharp sense of story, pacing, and rhythm for both narrative and social content
  • Motion graphics ability (After Effects)
  • Organized media management and a track record of hitting deadlines
  • Ability to take feedback well and work efficiently through revision rounds
  • Genuine interest in the outdoor and firearms space (you’ll be cutting a lot of it)
  • Photo editing and retouching skills (Lightroom / Photoshop)
  • Sound design and music selection chops
  • Experience cutting fast-paced action or live event footage
  • On-set or shooting experience that informs the edit
  • Familiarity with collaborative review tools and deliverable platforms

The expected salary range for this role is $50,000–$70,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, relevant skills, and demonstrated performance.

F5 Productions is an equal opportunity employer. To apply, send your reel, portfolio, and a short note about why this role fits you.

This is a role for someone equally comfortable lighting a product on a controlled set and tracking fast action at a multi-day match in the field.

You’ll shoot across a wide roster of brands, so versatility, reliability, and a genuine interest in the outdoor and firearms space go a long way here.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally allowed to own and possess firearms
  • Must be able to work from our Pine City, MN office [not a remote role]
  • Plan and execute photo shoots for product launches, brand campaigns, social content, and event coverage
  • Shoot at live competitions and industry events (expect periodic multi-day travel)
  • Run camera, lighting, and grip for both studio product work and on-location productions
  • Edit, retouch, and color-correct images into finished deliverables
  • Manage media: cull, organize, back up, and archive files following our workflow
  • Collaborate with the team on creative direction, shot lists, and deliverable timelines
  • Maintain and care for camera, lighting, and studio equipment
  • Hit deadlines and keep deliverables moving through our project tracking system
  • 3+ years of professional photography and editing experience (a strong portfolio matters more than years)
  • Proficiency with mirrorless/DSLR systems, studio strobes, and on-location lighting
  • Strong retouching and color skills (Adobe Lightroom / Photoshop / Capture One)
  • A sharp eye for composition, lighting, and detail across both product and action work
  • Ability to operate independently in the field and solve problems on the fly
  • Organized approach to media management and meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to travel for events and shoots, with a flexible schedule during production windows
  • Comfort around firearms and a commitment to safe handling on set (training provided as needed)
  • Video skills to complement photo work
  • Tethered shooting and studio product experience
  • Drone experience (Part 107 a plus)
  • Familiarity with the outdoor, hunting, or competitive shooting space
  • Experience shooting live events or fast-paced action
  • The chance to work with a growing roster of respected brands in the outdoor and firearms industry
  • A varied workload — no two shoots look the same
  • Travel to events and locations most people only see online
  • A small, collaborative team where your work has real visibility and impact
